Dragon Door is probably the definitive kettlebell resource. Check out some of Pavel's books

I do kettle bells, did a workout last night in fact.

I am a fan of Mike Mahler and use his down loadable workout book. He has a nice site:  http://www.mikemahler.com/

The only down side of kettlebells is that they can be a bit pricey, so maybe find a local gym that has some, or just get a couple or a few in some different weights instead of matched pairs of the same weight. (Dick's Sporting Goods sells them. I think Walmart might also carry them now too.) This way you can mix up the weight you use. The down side is you will have to do one handed exercises. The upside is that you spend half as much.

I would have to say that with only a couple of pieces of really simple gear and a little space, you can get yourself a kick ass workout in a small amount of time. As a dad with 2 kids and a hectic life, sometimes all I get is 30 minutes to do a workout and kettlebells can smoke you.

I would say to find  way to try some out before committing any cash to the endeavor just to see if you like it. Best of luck.

I like to use a relatively light bell for warm up. I'm teaching my GF to work with them.
They are awesome.

I was using the for the first time tonight. Just 1 pood, Russian style. Trying to explode with hips and forearms. It takes me a while to build muscle memory.

Kettlebells are just so damn expensive though. I just throw heavy stuff around.
The answer to your question is 'eat more fat'.

Stop counting calories. If you are eating Paleo, there is usually no need.

If you are having weight loss issues, it'd be a good idea to start posting a detailed food journal, then everyone can help.

'Anecdotal Evidence' is an oxymoron.

I had a sponsor throw me some adjustable kettlebell handles.

They suck, and I don't suggest anyone buy a pair (fragile). One of them broke when dropped, but I still have one loaded to 30kg/66lbs. Walking a mile while trying to hold onto that sucker is a lot of fun (I basically hold till fatigued then switch hands). The day after it feels like a dozen strong, angry midgets beat my traps and forearms with bamboo rods for a few hours. In strongman circles we call a 1-handed farmers walk a "suitcase carry" - so that's basically what it is.

I also perform basic swings and cleans with it. Back when I had both, floor presses with kettlebells were awesome for triceps... but bad for tennis elbow.
Diets fail because society as a whole believes body image is more important than health. The problem is that obesity is simply one of many symptoms of an illness, not the illness itself.

And I'm being cured.
