I do kettle bells, did a workout last night in fact.
I am a fan of Mike Mahler and use his down loadable workout book. He has a nice site:
http://www.mikemahler.com/The only down side of kettlebells is that they can be a bit pricey, so maybe find a local gym that has some, or just get a couple or a few in some different weights instead of matched pairs of the same weight. (Dick's Sporting Goods sells them. I think Walmart might also carry them now too.) This way you can mix up the weight you use. The down side is you will have to do one handed exercises. The upside is that you spend half as much.
I would have to say that with only a couple of pieces of really simple gear and a little space, you can get yourself a kick ass workout in a small amount of time. As a dad with 2 kids and a hectic life, sometimes all I get is 30 minutes to do a workout and kettlebells can smoke you.
I would say to find way to try some out before committing any cash to the endeavor just to see if you like it. Best of luck.
