I guess this is more of a clean & jerk? I was catching low and 1/4 squat jerk (instead of push) for the press? Muscle jerk? Gnujoshua?


If you press out at all, it could be called a "push jerk" which is pretty much the norm in the realm of strongman (and my specialty). Really no such thing as a muscle jerk because that would be a strict press.
Diets fail because society as a whole believes body image is more important than health. The problem is that obesity is simply one of many symptoms of an illness, not the illness itself.

And I'm being cured.

Mtn.Biking - 8 mi. 2,000 ft. - Finally! A nice, cool, partly cloudy day. Great ride, very strenuous! Tough climbs!

Stretching & Shadow Boxing - 2hrs. - Felt like doing a martial arts workout. Muay Thai shadow boxing, bodyweight training and dynamic stretching fit the bill nicely.
It's been a long time. Nice to know it all still just flows naturally.

Good dog ride since 95% of it is in deep timber. There are some fun log rides and jumps on one of the trails.

Mountain biking - 6mi., 1,200vert.ft. - Good out and back ride. Consistent climb for 3mi. SUFFERFEST!  ;D
I was hoping to do a much bigger ride.  :(

9/1/10 - Mtn.Bike ride - 10.7mi. 1,950vert.ft. -  4hr. SUPER SUFFERFEST! The WD and I have been needing an adventure. We started the ride by getting lost.  :D I retraced my tracks and found the trail, which wasn't marked.  ::) The climb was brutal! It's 3mi. of consistent up. The steepest section gains 1,680 vert.ft. in 1.3mi.  :o
At about 7,000' it started raining. Shortly after that I was done pedaling. Pretty soon my tires were so choked with mud that I couldn't get them to roll. Shoulder and carry.
At 8,000' it was snowing.  :) Ground was frozen, resume pedaling.
The reward is a 6mi. long descent.  ;D

9/2/10
