Simple workout changes weight loss

Hi:

I've been losing between 8-10 libs a month since I started in April, but this month I started working out and now my weight is rock steady. I've been 157 for two weeks now, the difference is, my trousers seem loose. I can get into a 30 waist (barely) even though last month I could only just get into a 32 waist. So, the lesson here is that your trousers will tell the truth. The scale only tells part of the story. Note that in April I was 190 and a 38 waist.

I still have a spare tire which I imagine will take some time to get rid of.

Height: Five foot eight.
Weight: 157-ish
Dimension at the navel: 34 inches

My work out is pretty simple: 40 push-ups in a row and 20 minutes of running four days a week with a 'long' run of half an hour on the week-end. I used to do half-marathons and am aiming to do them again.

Good work!

You might want to add some other movements to that list. Every push needs a pull. Otherwise you will develop strength imbalance. This leads to postural disfunction.

Agreed.

I'd do strength training one day and running on it's own day.

Push, pull, squat movements for strength training

Maybe...

Day 1 - strength
Day 2 - run
Day 3 - off
repeat...

Hi:

I have this foolish idea that I'll eventually complete the 007 work-out. In the novels, he did something like 75 push ups in a row each morning, and an equal number of sit-ups.

Still, I'm amazed at how rock steady my weight has become. I guess one can become fixated on it and ignore other measures. As a friend says: your trousers will tell you the truth.

Hehehe. He also smoked and poisoned his liver. Never fear, I shan't follow that example. I just remember reading those books as a teen it sort of stuck in my head and it's just something I want to reach to say I've done it.
