Just a hike, or full on backpacking? I'm a huge backpacking nut, but I don't get many chances to go, being in Chicago... 8 hour drives to get anywhere decent.

Congrats on the pullups.

Congrats on the pullups.

full on backpack my friend.  We want to pick a hard trail this time.  Our first time out we took the advice from a ranger and ended up doing the 7th hardest trail in the park!  Then the next trail we did was too easy....it was beautiful but not challenging enough.  When we lived in MO we were far from everything as well.  Now we're in TN so the Smokies are on our doorstep ;D

pull ups...I've been working on them and it shows ;) thanks!

Curious: what does "metcon" mean? My brain really really wants it to be a conference for death metal music. MetCon 2010 will rock your face!
