Chelle's Shameful Workout Log
« on: September 07, 2010, 07:56:05 PM »
The point of my keeping a workout journal is to voluntarily subject myself to group shaming.I'm healthy, and need to feel embarassed about my laziness. Today's workout: slow stroll to library and back, total 6/10 of a mile.

I can't tolerate high temps, so as soon as it cools down I plan on walking 1 to 1.5 hours a day. I also don't own a car, which forces me to walk at least a mile a day.

I'm probably as lazy as you are.
The only exercise I'm excited to do is sex.
Plus frolicking with children.
I'm on Raw Paleo diet but I have kids to feed on cooked paleo diet.

Well, there's something to be said for "ratcheting up" your level of activity. While walking is not exercise in general, it's still a great stepping stone for some people - especially the decently overweight...

Chelles, how much do you weigh?

There are actually far more productive ways for de-conditioned individuals to illicit a training effect than walking. Far safer for the very overweight folks as well.

I'm not sure, but from experience I figure I need to drop about 40 pounds. That walk was nothing, as I'm not a sedentary 300-pounder.My preferred exercise is hiking - rough terrain, uphill, etc. I have small hills in my neighborhood and an hour up and down those IS a workout. When I walk, I work in stairs, lunges, climbing, etc.

None today! Fell asleep and napped while waiting for my boyfriend like a dumbass. I think I'm going to start back up with yoga again- I have a great "power yoga" dvd.
