I also agree with Wlfdg, I remember I used to be a bit fat like 3 years ago when at high school I think I was 180 pounds (that was my max weight ever) and I had rolls and bitch tits haha, and I lost the wieght and stopped eating and for about 4 months I was real skinny, then I gained it all back and was fat for another year or so. Then I dropped down to 133 pounds, (minimum weight ever) and ate nothing because I was going through withdrawals of drug addictions and such, and now I am at about a steady 150 - 153 pounds and I have a little muscle coming through, after I have bulked up through, I am just going to do pure cardio and martial arts, the gym is a short term thing for me and hopefully I get to 145 pounds which is my goal wieght
. Moral of the story, don't starve yourself!

Don't worry, I'm not.
That was the appeal of this diet. I
don't
have to starve myself!
Although it's true. I'm not as hungry since I am not a victim of blood sugar swings. So I find myself not eating as much. Or as often. But I think I'm eating enough as I feel good and sated. Those are the requirements, aren't they?
If I were doing a diet that incorporated grains and dairy, I would have to reduce my caloric intake
in spite
of my blood sugar swings. That would be a recipe for utter misery.

Weighed myself this morning.
fat 42.2%
water 35.8%
Muscle 32.6%
weight 167.6 lbs (76 kg).
Body mas index 30.1 (mildly obese)
Serves me right. I have been eating on my roast beef all week. And have it with a salad. I weighed myself or Wednesday and was all the way down to 165.8. It spooked me a little....1.4 pounds in two days? So I cheated big time on Thursday and it spilled over into Friday. I ate well yesterday and my fat profile is still improved. So the extra weight is not fat and I think I'll see 165 again in a few days as long as I eat well.
I suspect I lose weight faster when I eat only beef. That could be good to know when I get thinner and want to keep my weight loss up.

Hey look, its my old progress page!
I guess I took a little two-month "break" from paleo, from November 1 to January 1, save wheat. Now in the past, I would have gained more weight that what I started with. Not so this time.
I weighed myself New Year's Morning, here's what I'm starting (over) with:
1/1/10
weight 175.4 lbs (79.6kg)
fat 43.2%
water 35.7%
muscle 32.4%
and then I went on a little 3 day fast:
1/3/10
weight 171.8 lbs (77.9kg)
fat 42.3%
water 36.6%
muscle 32.6%
One week later (see, my skull's not so thick!)
1/10/10
weight 171.4 lbs (77.6kg)
fat 42.2%
water 36.7%
muscle 32.6%
I weight myself again the day after tomorrow
Can't hardly wait!
I also have to say I really love wolfram alpha. It is a cool website. All I have to do is type "171.8 pounds in kilograms" and it will tell me. Want to know the weather in Juneau, Alaska on Oct 28th, 1964? It'll tell you!
http://www.wolframalpha.com/
I am also taking measurements, but I don't intend to post them every week. It'll be more like, "Well I haven't lost any weight this week but my hips are down X of an inch."

1/24/10
weight: 167.4lbs (75.93kg)
fat: 41.1%
water: 37.8%
muscle: 32.8%
BMI: 29.7
I have been putting all of these measurements in an Excel chart, so I can get a visual representation of what is going on. I can say that everything seems to be going well because it's all going down slowly, yet steadily.
I'm getting goofy measurements for my chest and waist, so I'm modifying my method for measuring my them from now on. I'm going to take a measurement when I've inhaled and then again when I've exhaled. Then I'll take an average of the two.

1/31/10
weight: 172.4lb (78.2kg)
fat: 42.3%
Water: 36.5%
muscle: 32.6%
BMI: 30.5 -- dammit
dammit....
....dammit
dammit
dammit
dammmmit
...*sigh*
I really blew it this week, didn't I? BUT FIVE POUNDS?! Did I even eat that much bad stuff?
Grain and dairy tend to bind things up and so there is definitely a, erm, backlog(?). I was "behind"
by like 4 days. I probably weigh less today.

I try not to check myself on the scales, I just see how I am in the mirror, scales can be risky business and almost be an obsession. Maybe some of it could be water wieght? Did you happen to have 2 litres of water before wieghing yourself? Was it after a meal? Lots of contributing factors. Sometimes I can vary from 2-3 kilos in a day, depending on if I have fully digested my meals etc.
