::) Life would be SOOOO much easier if I could get my hubby on the Paleo bandwagon.  Pick your battles I suppose...and of course some battles are just not meant to be won!  ::)

My wife would do it if pizza was allowed.

mmmm....pizza...I dabble in the realm of experimentation in the kitchen and when I'm craving pizza I will make one but I will make it as PALEO FRIENDLY as possible ;D  This usually doesn't happen that often but.....

Today's PWO meal----3 eggs (pasturized, mind you) & a grass fed bison burger & handful of raisins  :D

You could probably use coconut flour and choose tomato sauce with herbs, ham, and pineapple for the toppings.

I tried the cauliflower crust recipe...needless to say I won't be making it again ::)  I don't think I "riced" the cauliflower very well b/c there was too much water content still remaining...oh well.  The toppings were good at least ;)

I agree about the rice thing as well.  Have you tried "meatza" where you use ground chicken as the crust?

I haven't but the next time I'm craving pizza that's what I'm trying!

Oh ding dangit!
I was on a roll and feeling good and then BAM!  I let myself get too hungry and I have limited food choices at home atm so I ended up eating non-paleo and now I feel poopy :-[

But, you know what?  Life happens and it's not the end of the world and today is a new day ;)

The fam is coming in for a visit so I'm sure we'll have the grill FULL of chicken, bison burgers, veggies, etc etc.

Take it easy on yourself.  You're right, it's not the end of the world!  :)

Pizza is my weakness!.  I think I could eat it most nights and be happy.  I'm feeling very proud of myself because after much experimenting I finally came up with a primal pizza crust that works for me.

Have fun with your family.   Mixed grill sounds delicious.  ;D

Yeah, some things are just too trivial to freak out about.

On the grill:
chicken
grass fed beef bugers
squash, broccoli, carrots, onion, zucchini
sweet potato (for my pops and hubby)
*rubbing my belly* It was GOOOOOOD!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Thinking of trying a week of MEAT ONLY.  Not sure yet.
I'm somewhat worried about poo issues if I do this.
Of course, it will have to wait until my family leaves....right now my fridge is so full of EVERYTHING it's ridiculous. This is the most food my fridge has seen at one time in a while :o

Got on the scale this morning...that's the first in a long while....134!  I'm 5'2" and usually range btw 125-130.

Needless to say I've been splurge a bit too much while the fam is in town and through the month of August ::)

Vices as of late:
almond butter
ginger snap cookies (which I NEVER have in the house but my mom brought some and I can't keep my sticky fingers out of them even though I KNOW I'm going to pay for it.)
dark chocolate (again, never have it in the house)
pizza!

Those are my downfalls atm.  Usually through the week I'm great at Paleo but here lateley I don't know what my problem is.  Emotional, hormonal...who knows.  Anyway, I'm paying for it >:(

At least I'm honest about it!!!

Parents visiting all week...chaos all week...food frenzy all week! ::)

Anyway, they headed back to MO yesterday so my house is now back to normal and my fridge is back to normal as well....thank goodness!  Enjoyed their visit and definitely some treats along the way ;)

Now...it's time to cook up some grass fed bison burgers!

On the stove:
chicken and onions

On my plate:
salad greens
chicken and onion mixture
butternut squash/broccoli gumbo

Happy belly ;)

Hubby wanted pizza tonight...I quickly foiled that plan with a "uh, you can get it if you want but I have a lot of veggies that I want to eat before we go to the store again."

Vices as of late:
raisins
walnuts

My wife gets upset when I say something similar. I think she feels guilty that she is eating pizza and I am eating something low carb. I don't know. I found out recently that the gluten might be causing my heartburn. If this is true, then I can get out of eating pizza without the reverse guilt and I can quit taking omeprazole. I have been taking those kinds of meds for the past 10 years. I haven't been cheating with gluten products and I haven't had any heartburn. Yay!
