08/20/2010 - Wt. 158.3 lbs - Friday

11:00am - Ribeye steak, orange, and a banana

7-8:00pm - Chicken Bryan (Carrabas recipe and is paleo) with roasted brussel sprouts and maybe (roasted potatoes, not Paleo) too and maybe a non-paleo Michelob Ultras or glass of white wine

I forgot my fruit, so I just ate the fat laden ribeye (about a pound with bone-in) and now I am drinking 3-4 oz. of full fat coconut milk with my coffee. My coffee mug is about 12-14 ounces. I'll probably finish off the can this afternoon.

Coffee is non-paleo for you newbies.

08/27/2010 - Wt. 159.2 lbs - Friday

5:45am - Quart of water

6:45am - Coffee black and [12g BCAA - Purple Wraath - Non-Paleo]

7:00am - Dumbbell workout

10:00am - (19 hour fast) A little cheat meal

Noon/12pm - Shepherd's Pie w/ lamb and 4 caps of fish oil - Took Alton Brown's Food Network recipe and converted it to Paleo using cauliflower for the potato topping and used paleo veggies

Edit: Decided to do a 24 hour Intermittent Fast from noon today until noon tomorrow, but I might have 1-3 light beers later in the evening. It depends on how bad the commute from work to home commute turns out. I hate cell phone drivers that drive slow in the left lane(s) or those people who are in their own little world.

08/29/2010 - Wt. 160.1 lbs - Sunday

5:45am - Two quarts of water

6:15am - [Jack3d - non-paleo] I roast my own coffee. I buy green coffee beans, but I was too lazy yesterday to roast a new batch. Jack3d is an easy go to source of caffeine.

6:45am - [12g BCAA - Purple Wraath - Non-Paleo] I started using this before my runs so that I can coninute in a fasted state during my run. Got the idea from www.leangains.com

7:00am - Going out for a 3 mile run

Rest of the day [TBD]

My weekends are not structured and usually will contain cheats and open meals. During the week, I take a medium to large igloo cooler and I already know what I am going to eat for the day.

I don't take cash to work because vending machines are too tempting. If you leave your cash at home and take a igloo cooler to work, you are more likely to stick with any eating lifestyle. I try to make all my meals for the week on Sunday.

I am going to try cycling every other week one food component. So, last week I made 3-4 meals with multi-ingredients. This week, I'll just have a protein grilled and either use frozen veggies or steam veggies that are on sale. I couldn't just stick to one food component. That is too boring. I have about 75 cookbooks and I am going to start flagging recipes in those books that are paleo or ones that can be converted to paleo. This will help me from running out of ideas and not get bored with this eating lifestyle.

My 11 y/o Labrador died today, so I had some non-paleo candy for comfort.

1:30pm - Paleo Shepherd's Pie w/ lamb

Will probaby fast until tomorrow. My body is adapting to Intemrittent Fasting. I don't need to snack anymore. As soon as you kick the snacking on seeds/nuts, the better off you will be.
