Sunday 1st August

morning - made a variety of vegie pancake: tomato, zucchini mush beaten into two eggs and cooked in a frypan until the bottom is set then finished off under the grill until the top is set and browned (this would be good filled with something then rolled up), drank coffee, black

midmorning - fresh pineapple and green tea

lunchtime - made a marinade of one lemon (juiced), a good handful of fresh oregano and a big garlic clove whizzed up and poured over lamb chops. Cooked on barbeque to strains of waltzing matilda lol

afternoon - a few fresh cherries

evening - baked chicken soup. Chicken stock and chicken drumsticks with onion, celery, parsnip and carrot cut in to big pieces and all cooked up into soup then laid out in a baking dish to reduce and brown up. It's done when evaporated and very brown. Unbloodybelievably good. Followed by a couple of spoons of pawpaw.

Having a twinings blackcurrant tea - tastes like a hot ribena

I feel really really good

Tuesday 3rd August at work

getting my tea and coffee weaker now - I put the amount for a mug into a plunger/coffee press so it's half strength and drunk black - I've discovered it's the hotness I want

morning - coffee

mid morning - half a leftover lamb chop (oregano & lemon)

lunchtime - leftover two drumsticks from the baked chicken soup, the last of the tomato and basil salad and a mug of grapefruit green tea (really it's very yummy)

mid afternoon - rest of the lamb chop and earl grey tea

evening - beef and celery, capsicum, Zensenji's stew juice (lol) and onion stewed korma style  - a curry mostly of coconut oil and ground coriander, cumin, cardamom with extra coconut milk (can also contain lots of other stuff but nicely aromatic)

might have some of my raw mixed nuts - added macadamias to the mix

my name is avelin and I'm a nut addict - the first part is recognising the problem

Wednesday 4th August

Very meh day - except for chasing research for one of the threads here

morning - coffee

lunchtime - beef cooked with onion, a carrot, cummin and cinnamon (cinnamon with meat gives it richness and warmth) and a bit of beef stock
mug of citrus green tea

evening - just oil and garlic rubbed chicken and onion baked with a little water in the pan for moistness

My way is to cook the chicken on high for the first half-hour then turn the oven down to moderate or a bit under for up to another hour an a half depending on how big or how much.

You might want to try shelling your own nuts. I was eating a lot of shelled nuts and I wasn't losing weight as fast as I am now.

You are absolutely right! I used to have to go outside and hit them with a brick and I didn't ever do it for long or a real lot

I think you need more fatty pieces of bovine in your diet.
The answer to your question is 'eat more fat'.

Stop counting calories. If you are eating Paleo, there is usually no need.

If you are having weight loss issues, it'd be a good idea to start posting a detailed food journal, then everyone can help.

'Anecdotal Evidence' is an oxymoron.

Um - I eat nuts cos I like them. Not because I'm hungry.

Thursday 5th August

An extremely stressful day  :-\

morning - coffee

midmorning - frypan frittata with lots of herbs, some spinach and onion stems from the garden, and green tea

late lunch - last few bits of the cummin & cinnamon beef (I'd made a salad but didn't eat much of it)

midafternoon - a few cherries and a coffee with cream (!) I really needed it, the comfort and the time to sit and drink it, psychologically at least

evening - I had some fat & jelly stored from when I'd cooked meat in tomato so I used the fat from that to cook up some pink steak and just had steamed cauli, brussels sprouts and broccoli (I love plain steamed vegies)

Friday 6th August

Mostly a really hard day

morning - sardines (canned) & peppermint tea during the morning
tea is for the stomach as sardines come under the heading of gifts that keep on giving

lunch - I was given a chicken and asked to make soy chicken again, stuffed with precooked onion and cooked with parsnip, carrot and celery pieces, with a small salad of assorted greens

blackcurrant tea

early evening - nuts & strawberries
