cardiovascular disease?
A few people on this thread have stated that extra virgin olive oil can't be used for cooking but no one has explained why - could someone explain the theory behind this please?
How about "cold pressed" virgin coconut oil? The native way of extracting it is just letting young coconut milk stand till the oii seperates and floats to the top
Basically, olive oil is not something that paleolithic men used. Extraction requires a significant static infrastructure by paleolithic standards, though not by neolithic standards. Paleo man likely stuck with fruit he could pick right off the tree and eat. That said, olive oil is not nearly as bad as most other vegetable oils - corn oil or peanut oil, for example - and some people do use it if they don't have access to paleo oils like unprocessed animal fats.
How many fruits are recommended? I prefer them to veggies but know I have to transition to more veggies less fruit but I am looking for some guidelines as to how many fruits.
