The official unofficial FAQ of CAVEMANforum
Every morning I have bacon and eggs, with apple fried in the bacon fat. There may be some wisdom in having fruit after fat/protein as it will slow your digestion of it, but if you are eating Paleo it won't matter much in the scheme of things.

Fruit on it's own, whatever else I am eating at other times, has alwasy meant blood sugar spike, followed by crash within half an hour. Starting the day with fruit on an empty stomach would render me pretty non-functional by 9.30am! I know most other people aren't as crazily sensitive as I am though.

I know most other people aren't as crazily sensitive as I am though.I was insanely sensitive to spikes and rebounds when I first started Paleo. However my insulin sensitivity has slowly recovered to the point that not only can I handle fruit on an empty stomach, I can also handle something pretty bad like a bowl of chips with no spike and rebound.Fasting will speed up how fast you recover your insulin sensitivity.
