Fruit: AM or PM food??

Guys,

Seems that most eat fruit early in the day. Should one avoid eating fruit later in the day for some reason??

I don't see why!!!  Fruit is fruit day or night.

I prefer fruit in the evening, as sugar seems to "crash" me.

Fruit in the morning and that crash comes around 10am. Not good for work.
Diets fail because society as a whole believes body image is more important than health. The problem is that obesity is simply one of many symptoms of an illness, not the illness itself.

And I'm being cured.

I say neither and both. For me fruit is a before, during and after workout thing. If I work out in the morning or the afternoon is irrelevant, I'll always and only eat fruit for lifting*.



* I forgot about my morning apple fried in bacon fat. It is just a tasty treat, and so soaked in fat as to not really count as fruit.

The answer to your question is 'eat more fat'.

Stop counting calories. If you are eating Paleo, there is usually no need.

If you are having weight loss issues, it'd be a good idea to start posting a detailed food journal, then everyone can help.

'Anecdotal Evidence' is an oxymoron.

I think it's up to you. I have fruit between meals or as a dessert at night, mostly.

Apples are fantastic for an afternoon snack as they have the effect of waking you up.

I don't think there's any downsides to eating them at any particular time of the day except for personal preferences, like people experiencing crashes afterwards and not wanting that to interfere with work.

I try to eat some fruit with every single meal, but I'm trying to gain muscle.  It also feels very natural for me to grab some fruit with my meat or whichever, I'm sure that is what I would do as a cavedude.
